‘Learning with Rory and Dory feels like learning with old friends - I trust them to make me feel safe, I know they have my best interests at heart, they offer challenge when you need it, but it is always a relaxing experience to spend time with them.’
Rachel

‘The integrity and way the classes are delivered are so unique and well constructed. You have to feel your yoga practice and you leave the mat feeling lighter and more open to life experiences.’

Dory Walker

Rory's unique teaching style skilfully enables you to uncover a greater depth of awareness and understanding in your practice. Informed by multi-disciplines his approach is intelligent, passionate and insightful. I am a direct student of one of the last living greats, Dona Holleman. The yoga I share has purpose, intention, precision, intelligence and soul. It continues to be informed by all the inspirations in my life, past and current teachers, mentors, trailblazers and most importantly from the precious and essential time in my own daily Sadhana where ideas are incubated, experimented and processed. I teach long term practitioners, yoga teachers, yoga teacher teachers and those new to yoga with my partner Dory Walker.

Location

Pauntley Court is believed to be the birthplace of Dick Whittington, born in 1352, who became Lord Mayor of London four times over. Elinor Fettiplace whose recipes from the 1600s the owners celebrate, grew up here at Pauntley Court and was one of the last members of the Whittington family to live here. In the late 17th century, Pauntley Court was purchased by The Marquis of Somerset who had big plans to build ‘a great house of stone’ which today is represented by the ‘Ruin Garden’ where the foundations for this stone house were originally laid.

Pauntley Court is half-timbered with three gables on the east side, part medieval, part Elizabethan. In the 18th Century, the house was owned by the Stokes family who added on the beautiful ballroom, where you still see the original cornicing in place.
