With Rory Viggers

17 September - 8 October 2023 (every Sunday)
7.45pm - 9.45pm
Clifton, Bristol

Finally learn the foundations, technique and understanding for an everlasting inversions practice.

Whether you’re beginning, evolving or advancing your inversions, this course will give you incredible new insights and methods for creating a sustainable, safe and long term practice.

Your inversion practice will never be the same again!

“Rory is an incredible teacher. He ensured all students were looked after at the varying level & explained all aspects of the pose clearly. I learnt so much over the last 4 weeks (inversions course), which I’ve been able to include in my every day practice. I can’t wait to come back & learn some more!”
Felicity (Yoga Teacher)

This is for you if you want...

to learn headstand in the most comprehensive way that no-one has shown you before; the foundation, technique and method

to know what not to do (even though other teachers have possibly told you otherwise)

to establish a regular headstand and shoulderstand practice that you can practise comfortably, safely and skilfully for 3 - 20 minutes

create an absolutely stable and sustainable base to confidently explore variations with confidence, skill and knowledge

to (literally) remove the wall from your practice (if you are starting headstand, don’t use the wall!)

to exponentially refine all areas of your asana practice and take your inversions to the next level (and what that actually means)

(and if you teach) know how to really help and assist others

If you’re finally ready to take your Yoga inversions practice to your next level, this course is for you.

Unlock new techniques and tools to learn the best possible foundations for your practice through 8 hours of high-touch and hands-on learning & practice.

You will study & practice in detail Sirsasana (Headstand). Sarvangasana (Shoulderstand). Pincha Mayurasana (Forearm Balance).

In regular yoga classes there is rarely the time or space to sufficiently learn what’s needed to really understand the postures and make your progress.

Your technique and mindset are often overlooked - these are vital ingredients to develop a deeper and richer approach.

This series will leave you with many break-through moments and fill in the gaps you need to unlock a new level of understanding.

You’ll learn new techniques that most probably no-one has taught you before and discover several instructions you have possibly been told that are absolutely not helpful (for your practice or teaching), yet are often still instructed in trainings and adjustment courses.

You’ll understand how the body compensates / takes short cuts rather than finding a more sustainable (and useful) solution.

You’ll learn which props are helpful and props that are unhelpful (and yet are still commonly instructed by teachers in classes).

The method, application and approach you’ll learn has enabled the students and teachers I’ve worked with (from many Yoga disciplines / systems) to create a fully-developed longterm inversions practice that is safe, expansive and opens up the full potential and experience of these asanas.

These techniques can do the same for you too.

This course is open to all students and teachers of yoga (not complete beginners).

If you have any medical conditions or injuries, please contact us to check if this course is suitable for you.

I look forward to supporting your practice.

Rory Viggers

Rory's unique teaching style skilfully enables you to uncover a greater depth of awareness and understanding in your practice. Informed by multi-disciplines his approach is intelligent, passionate and insightful. I am a direct student of one of the last living greats, Dona Holleman. The yoga I share has purpose, intention, precision, intelligence and soul. It continues to be informed by all the inspirations in my life, past and current teachers, mentors, trailblazers and most importantly from the precious and essential time in my own daily Sadhana where ideas are incubated, experimented and processed. I teach long term practitioners, yoga teachers, yoga teacher teachers and those new to yoga with my partner Dory Walker.

’Many years ago I thought I had an inversions practice. Then I went to study with my teacher and realised everything that I had previously been taught, shown and practiced was either incorrect or not helpful.

I had to relearn everything. That was around 10 years ago.

Now I have a practice that is sustainable, safe, built on strong foundations, precision and in-depth understanding and most importantly has a future.

I’ve since helped many Yoga teachers and Yoga students rebuild, relearn and refine their practice and would love to support you.’

"Having practised yoga for many years, it was a huge relief to find that your professionalism and approach to teaching was in synch with my own and I felt totally at ease and responsive with being a student under your careful and artful guidance. You both are yoga craftsmen."
Liz, Yoga Teacher

"To be guided along the path whilst connecting together in sangha finding our own way home is vital today. Thank you so much for being such knowledgeable and sincere guides offering what so many don’t”
Sona, Yoga Teacher
