Summer Yoga Retreat 2023

With Rory Viggers

17 - 20 August 2023
Devon, UK

An incredible 4 days to deepen into your practice through an exploratory immersion into asana and pranayama

The power of immersion

Immersion is powerful. It allows you to change patterns, create and embed new ones so that you can upgrade the how of your practice and unlock the door to deeper experiences.

Periods of joined up time means you fully dive in, without distractions, rewire and make breakthroughs.

Your level of focus, commitment, energy and momentum is raised.

You lean more deeply into your edge (this is where the Quantum shifts happen).

I’ve experienced the biggest shifts in my life, practice, mindset and physical/mental/emotional wellbeing, during periods of immersion

It’s been life changing.

Immersive practice has allowed me to jump to new levels not only in my personal practice & teaching but also in my relationships with family, friends (and myself).

Over 4 days at the Summer Yoga Immersion you will fully immerse into the potential and power of Yoga asana and pranayama.

The outcome: Greater proficiency in the asanas, more spaciousness in body / mind, increased levels of energy, more harmony off the mat, in short you will step more into YOUR potential.

You’ll leave with greater knowledge and tools to enhance your own practice & life (and if you teach, your students).

The Summer Yoga Immersion has two fantastic practice spaces + we’ll use the outdoors too.

Asana, Pranayama & Nature go hand in hand.

The sessions will be a fusion of systematic practice, learning and energetics.

As well as the how and the why of the postures, to make the jump in quality in your asana practice, your energy body needs to make the first move - the physical body follows.

You’ll explore this and more during the 4 days.

I’m SO excited about this Immersion. I look forward to supporting and sharing with you

‘Learning with Rory and Dory feels like learning with old friends - I trust them to make me feel safe, I know they have my best interests at heart, they offer challenge when you need it, but it is always a relaxing experience to spend time with them.’
Rachel

‘The integrity and way the classes are delivered are so unique and well constructed. You have to feel your yoga practice and you leave the mat feeling lighter and more open to life experiences.’
Shiva

Your Teacher

Rory Viggers

Rory's unique teaching style skilfully enables you to uncover a greater depth of awareness and understanding in your practice. Informed by multi-disciplines his approach is intelligent, passionate and insightful. I am a direct student of one of the last living greats, Dona Holleman. The yoga I share has purpose, intention, precision, intelligence and soul. It continues to be informed by all the inspirations in my life, past and current teachers, mentors, trailblazers and most importantly from the precious and essential time in my own daily Sadhana where ideas are incubated, experimented and processed. I work with long term practitioners, yoga teachers, yoga teacher teachers and those new to yoga with my partner Dory Walker.

”Both Rory and Dory are such exceptional teachers; their knowledge, wisdom and understanding (both of the anatomy of yoga and the philosophy) shines through”
Tabitha, Yoga Teacher

"Thank you so much for being such knowledgeable and sincere guides offering what so many don’t”
Sona, Yoga Teacher

”There are yoga teachers and then there are teachers of yoga. Rory belongs to the latter group. I always learn something new; and, I really mean always, he teaches ever new ways to get into an asana, ways to become aware of and awaken muscle groups you never knew existed, and to relax and become confident in your body. Rory has a wealth of knowledge of the human body that he’s most skilled in articulating and sharing for a more embodied way of being in the world (not just on the mat).”

"Having practised yoga for many years, it was a huge relief to find that your professionalism and approach to teaching was in synch with my own and I felt totally at ease and responsive with being a student under your careful and artful guidance. You both are yoga craftsmen."
Liz
