Attending Online classes
Our online classes are broadcast from our virtual ‘kutir’. We use high quality cameras, microphones, lighting and high speed upload to ensure your high level experience.
What you’ll need…
Technical stuff.
A computer, tablet or sufficiently sized smart phone. A reliable internet connection to stream video.
Install (free) Zoom on your tablet, phone or computer to access the classes (the class link will be sent to you 30 minutes before the class starts). You can also access the link in your TeamUp booking portal.
Set yourself up where you have space to lay a mat down, have enough height to extend your hands upwards and enough width to take your arms out to the side. Have enough distance between yourself and your device so that we can see your practice.
Yoga stuff.
Each class is different so it’s best to have the following things available just in case:
Yoga mat, blocks, blanket, belt. If you also have a chair and a bolsters - great!
If you don’t have any of the above you can be inventive. Hard back books as blocks, towels as blankets, dressing gown ties or actual belts as belts! This is all at your own discretion and we don’t take any responsibility if you damage your kit or household belongings! Yoga equipment can be relatively inexpensive so perhaps invest in some proper kit. However, we can always adapt so don’t worry if none of the above is available.
Other stuff.
Please dress appropriately and wear what you usually would in a public studio yoga class.
Ensure your device is fully charged and/or plugged in. Turn off any background noise during the class so that we can hear you if we need to communicate with you. For the most part, sound will be muted for group classes with only the teachers voice audible.
Ask any householder members to leave you undisturbed as much as possible. But don’t stress if the cat or a small child jumps on your mat - that’s life!
Avoid a heavy meal 1.5 hours before the class.
Please arrive in time for the class. Once the class has started you may not get in.
