Padmasana

Finally learn the most effective way to practise Padmasana through a 5 step approach

Padmasana requires a certain range of movement in the hip socket for the legs to move into position.

Attempting Padamasana from a seated position isnt the easiest of ways to explore this asana

Through sitting, you may feel resistance in the abdominal muscles and feel the effort involved in maintaining an upright seated position when you start moving your legs.

Your legs also work against gravity - all this can make the body and joints hard, resistant and restricts you.

And whichever base position you are starting from, simply taking the feet and placing them in position via the most direct route doesnt create the optimal movement pattern required for this posture.

There is a 5 step approach that presents greater possibility for the leg movements.

In this session I’ll show you an effective way to bring one leg into position from a non-seated position.

There is no magic wand and there needs to be enough movement available.

But this 5 step approach will give you greater potential that you can continue to practice, to improve your full padmasana journey

See you there!
