Online Beginners yoga course continued
Our beginners class provides a systematic introduction to the theory and practise of yoga postures, breathing exercises and guided relaxation. A strong foundation is built as the student learns about the benefits of practise. We explores the importance of yogic breathing techniques, proper relaxation, and the principles of yogic diet, positive thinking and meditation.
This class is the perfect foundation to prepare students to move on to our other level classes when they feel ready.
Yoga practise promotes increased strength, flexibility and positive mental outlook. We look forward to welcoming you.
Teachers
The beginners class is instructed by experienced teachers Rory Viggers and Dory Walker.
Day & Time
Our beginner’s classes run as course formats in 5-6 week blocks.
Who is this for?
For complete beginners, those who have practiced a little, and for anyone that wishes to have a systematic introduction to some of the the theory and practise of yoga postures, breathing exercises and guided relaxation.
Who can practice yoga?
Everyone! All ages, shapes, sizes and physical abilities!
What do I need to have?
Online courses: You could make do with just a towel or rug and something to sit on. If you have your own yoga mat, yoga blocks, a blanket and a yoga belt then great. But you can be creative with things from around your home! You could use hard back books instead of blocks. Dressing gown cord, an old tie, a tea towel or scarf instead of a yoga belt. A towel or cushion or pillow instead of a blanket. A dining room chair or stool. There are plenty of things you could use if needed and we will advise you before the course starts. You don’t need to buy any specific yoga equipment but we can suggest where to find some if you wish to have your own.
What to wear?
Wear loose, comfortable clothes that you can easily move in.
Can I eat before class?
Avoid a heavy meal 1.5 hours before the class starts.
