Proper exercise - Asanas
Yoga asanas work on the physical, mental and emotional bodies. Yoga exercises are a pleasant way to maintain maxiumum health within all the body systems, along with a balanced mind and a key to explore spiritual life. ('Sthira sukham asanam' - Patanjali Chapter II vs 46). The asanas must be steady and practised with ease and comfort. When practied in this way asanas practise becomes a meditation. The aim of hatha yoga asanas is the health of the spine and efficiency of the joints. The vitality of the nerves, glands and vital internal organs. Asana practise is a practicle tool to learn about your body, its functions on the physical and more subtle levels..

Proper Breathing - Pranayama
Proper breathing is making full use of the respiratory system. Pranayama has the potential to create huge amaounts of energy as it littlerally charges our internal batterines as it increaes our pranic frequency, and our ability to connect the the all pervading pranic life force.   Pranayama (breath control) exercises, teach the techniques to use this energy for physical mental and emotional wellbeing.
 
Proper Relaxation-  Savasana
Savasan deeply relaxes on a phsical, mental and spiritual level. It thoroughly rejuvenates the nervous system and creates a deep sense of inner peace. Proper breathing and relaxation, are the vital key to extending the benifits of yoga from merely the phsical to the deeper levels of mental, emotional and spiritual wellbing and health of the practictioner.
 
Proper Diet - Vegetarian

We are what we eat. The foods we eat profoundly affect our mind and body. For maximum body-mind efficiency and complete spiritual awareness, Yoga advices a lacto-vegetarian diet. It is important to eat with awareness, this is an integral part of the Yogic lifestyle. The yogic diet  looks at the subtle effect that food has on mind, and advocates taking foods which have a positive effect on the body and the least impact on the environment.
 
Positive Thinking and Meditation - Vedanta and Dhyana
Mind becomes matter, we become what we think. So we should strive to cultivate positive and creative thoughts as these will contribute to vibrant health and a peaceful, joyful mind. A positive outlook on life can be developed by learning and practicing the teachings of the philosophy of Vedanta. The mind will be brought under perfect control by regular systematic practice of meditation. Meditaion improves concentration and reduces stress. Boosts energy levels and bestoys insight and wisdom to the dedicated practitioner.
