The Venus transit is when Venus passes exactly in front of the Sun from the perspective of the Earth. It appears as a small black disc crossing the Sun and is a rare event. These special transits happen in pairs eight years apart and with a gap of over a century between each pair.
The next one will be on 6 June 2012 and then not again for 105 years. The Venus transit will come very soon after a Solar and Lunar Eclipse and so the whole of May and June will be an especially active time astrologically with the potential for lots of disturbances, challenges, reorientation and big decisions being made about our collective and individual future direction.
During this astrology evening we will explore the Venus cycle, understand its connection to our values, desires and experience of love and tune in at an inner level to the relevance of the Venus transit in our own lives
Nick Hughes is a very talented and experienced astrologer and we are very excited to have him coming back to yogaKutir.
The purpose of these meditations is to experience the planets and the stars directly, not just out there in the cosmos but also within us physically, emotionally and spiritually. The meditations are facilitated by Nick Hughes who runs his own astrology school and also works as a consulting astrologer, homoeopath and healer. It is suitable for absolute beginners as well as those already familiar with astrology and meditation.
